2024 Litigation Skills SessionThursday, June 27, 2024 von Briesen & Roper, S.C. This defense skills clinic will be focused on motion practice. Participants will be supplied with briefing on common motions that they will argue as younger lawyers such as motions to compel, motions to change venue, motions to stay and bifurcate. Participants will prepare for and attend oral arguments on a series of these motions. Participants will argue the motions before an experienced attorney serving as a judge. Participants will respond to opposing counsel’s arguments and questions from the judge. Feedback will be provided regarding tips and techniques for more effective oral arguments.
